Kickoff Updates

Predictions are re-evaluated ~55 minutes before kickoff using confirmed lineups, late team news, and real-time odds data.

  • The KU system checks every match where new data becomes available before kickoff
  • Each pick gets one of three outcomes: KEEP (confirmed), MODIFY (changed), or DROP (removed)
  • KEEP means the lineup data supports the original prediction — look for the purple badge
  • MODIFY shows the original pick with a strikethrough and the new recommendation below it
  • DROP removes picks that are no longer viable — protecting you from stale bets
  • Late Pick Discovery finds new opportunities that weren't visible in the morning analysis
Tip: Check the KU tab on the dashboard to see all updated picks and their KEEP/MODIFY/DROP status.

Closing Line Value

CLV measures whether you got better odds than the closing line — the final, most informed price before kickoff. It's the gold standard metric for measuring betting skill.

  • CLV+ means the odds dropped after your bet — the market confirmed your pick was undervalued
  • CLV- means the odds rose after your bet — the market moved away from your pick
  • Consistently beating the closing line is nearly impossible by luck alone
  • The Performance page shows average CLV%, CLV+ rate, and win rate comparison
  • CLV is most meaningful over large samples (500+ bets) in liquid markets
Tip: A positive average CLV% over time is a stronger indicator of skill than short-term win rate.
